Copmanhurst Public School

This school probably added to my childhood trauma… The principle at the time was a man named Mr Keen, generally a fun and goofy teacher but bro had a temper. If someone was in trouble he would take them into a room and SCREAM at them, like borderline abusive yelling…imagine having that much of a power trip because you’re “the boss” of a bunch of 8 year olds. He’d walk around with a microphone at assemblies and force people to sing the national anthem into it. #anxiety mate. There was this other teacher there named Mr Peterson I think it was? He would write on kids report cards that they were ‘stupid’ His daughter attended here and would get away with being a cow to people. Just thinking about how these things would not go down well today. Glad I switched schools, I realised at the next school none of this was normal.
