Bracken Ridge State School

doesn't seem like much has changed therefore I'd like to say thankyou to miss gay hallem. for expelling myself and 10 of my friends in 1 day. All for "quality of work" which is false. when there is always quite clearly kids who sleep all day or don't show up at all. I truly don't think I would've had certain opportunities Ive received had I graduated with a brshs certificate. there are awesome teachers and staff at the school, but select few past and present purposely target types that rattled there school experience.

They put my son in detention a few times for wearing his sports uniform (thats the only uniform he has), yet their uniform shop all year will make excuses that they dont have any more boys formal shirt sizes over 16. Still waiting for that order I put in a year ago. Why put kids in detention for not wearing correct uniform when you cant even provide the uniforms!?

New principal is HORRIBLE fire her now bring back Mr Bailey. New principal has no respect for current stuff nor students she has no respect for tradition that have been at this school for years she is now not letting students use bathrooms during class times or get a drink. The uniform system is corrupt as it has no real authenticity or consistency to its rules. This new principle is now trying to take away the military cadet unit that has been there for a many years now, even though they both host and volunteer in the Anzac ceremonies and remembrance day. This new principal is horrible and something needs to be addressed. This woman is trying to turn this school into how she wants it and not keep the great culture our school has built for her personal preferences and not in the best interest of others. New principal must happen soon before this school changes forever.

miss garrick needs to retire and the new young staff need to stop talking down on students. to top it off the teachers swear at & call students inappropriate names. Apart from the teacher aides and like 4 teachers, the other staff couldn't care less about the students. If you're not a school leader, you're not important there. Teachers encourage you to drop out instead of encouraging you to graduate. I would give this school a 0 but thats not possible, so i give it a one.

Visited, this school for time to see my son. Being denied visiting access from his mother, visiting the school on neutral grounds was a great option. Ask staff to see my son, all good, and then the principal tells me my son does not want to talk to me, while he is shaking in his boots. Very suspicious and sad to be honest. Principal Pinocchio I think his name was. Technically, this is illegal. 🤔
