This school was absolutely amazing for my son. Christian Values are extremely important in my household, and SPLC helped raise our kids into the young gentlemen they are today. Choose SPLC, you won't regret it!

Wouldn’t recommend high school attendance due to high fees. Attend grade 8 and grade 9 if possible for Ironbark experience, then get out! Sporting staff atrocious.

As I walked down the dimly lit street, lost in my thoughts, a sudden noise startled me. Before I could react, a speeding car swerved towards me, its headlights blinding. Fear gripped my heart as time seemed to slow down. But then, out of nowhere, a brave boy named Harrison Cole dashed forward, pushing me out of harm's way just in time. His quick thinking and selfless act saved my life. As I looked into his determined eyes, I realized that heroes can come in unexpected forms. From that day forward, Harrison's name would forever be etched in my grateful heart

Our son was relentlessly bullied at St Peters with no help or support from the school. We are still dealing with the aftermath as our son was emotionally abused by a classmate. The bullying was ongoing and we had to change schools mid year due to our son being bullied in year 4 and they did absolutely nothing to help us. Our son (gentle clever boy) was in the year 4 2021 cohort. The bullying started with the pack leader deliberately excluding our son from playtime and then was also verbally abusive to our son with very unkind name calling ie “you are fat” (our son is a lean athletic competitive squad swimmer at UQ).
When we changed schools mid year we asked St Peters (and the new primary principal) if they wanted parent feedback re our son’s experience but they were completely disinterested and ignored our emails. As a speech pathologist, I was also really disappointed with their curriculum. The year 4 homework that we received was very average which included only spelling way below our sons spelling level and lots of religious homework (no mention of kindness or values) and no maths and the parents don’t speak up or say anything?
The year 1 homework (our youngest) was also very average with repetitive busy work and no phonological awareness re spelling. We never received English or maths homework to reflect and review what was happening in the classroom and we then got the distinct impression that not much learning was happening especially when we changed schools as our son finally started working incredibly hard again and we now see high quality homework which reflects what they are learning in the classroom. The only positive for us at St Peters was the sports coach, he was a really lovely guy, fantastic with our kids and I hope he goes to a better school.
The swimming program is excellent if you are one of the “chosen ones” but they only pick who they want instead of looking for individual talent. The swim coach ignored our son and they mostly shout at the kids with very big groups in swimming that are way too big. Our 10 year old son was then immediately noticed by UQ and he now swims 5x a week on their intermediate competitive squad and is much more confident with UQ coaches that believe in him.
I don’t understand why St Peters rides on this “good” reputation when everyone who has done their research knows it’s a seriously below average school … it’s likely because they are the only private co-ed option in the area. Our youngest daughter (year 2) has had an amazing experience from day 1 at Ironside when we changed schools and it’s coed, outstanding and free. We have noticed a massive improvement in her confidence since leaving St Peters.
Our family experience at St Peters was academic laziness with the curriculum and homework was busy work with nonexistent pastoral care whilst being very religious … and staff tolerating very unkind abusive behaviour and bullying on the playground. I wonder what would Jesus say about this? 🙏🏼😞❤️

I have been in this school since junior high but this school holds a great mess. The students here are absolutely out of control drawing graffiti and secretly vaping inside bathrooms. Even the staffs has lack of responsibility to their jobs that they make poor assumptions on students. While there are some nice staffs, it seems that they are doing all the jobs for the other useless staff members. St Peters has many favourite phrase about forgiveness, but those are only used to get away from their responsibilities or just to look like they are actually ‘Religious’. This private school advertise their co-education but don’t be fooled. There are better public co-education school than this place. If anyone sees this planning to enroll their child who is hoping for great education and relationships, I will not recommend this school. This school will spoil your child.
