Sandgate High has been providing a comprehensive co-educational secondary education for young people in the north eastern Bayside suburbs of Brisbane since 1959. Sandgate District State High School offers a number of signature programs which allow suitably talented and motivated students to extend their learning in their chosen fields. Sandgate District State High School is proud to offer the Excelsior Academic Program. This innovative and exciting program allows students from Years 7–10 to tailor their learning experiences in an environment that’s specifically targeted towards enrichment (onwards) and extension (upwards). Based on the Australian Curriculum, the Excelsior program offers students the opportunity to develop: Our Athlete Development Program is aimed at providing young athletes with coaching and experiences in all facets of skill acquisition as well as strength and conditioning, to progress their sporting capability in any context.
