Today, more than 1,700 students from Years 5 to 12 call Nudgee College their school. As boarders, more than 300 of these students also call Nudgee College their home. All our boys are passionate about their school, about their learning and about making the most of the many opportunities that Nudgee College provides. As a leading Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition, we have a strong school culture that is based upon clear values and high expectations. For more than 130 years, Nudgee College has developed a proud reputation as a school in which fine young boys grow and develop into outstanding young gentlemen. The holistic education and all-round development of each boy remains the key focus of the college. Nudgee College offers a rich diversity of educational opportunities in the classroom, in the pastoral care program, in extensive co-curricular pursuits, as well as in faith development and social justice activities. This is complemented by the world-class facilities across the 136-hectare campus, including playing fields, an Olympic-standard athletics track, two heated swimming pools, gymnasium, modern music and art studios, a 400-seat auditorium and an onsite agricultural centre. Academically, every student at Nudgee College is catered to through the diverse nature of our subject offerings, our state-of-the-art learning facilities, our Inclusive Learning department, our Enrichment and Extension program, and our Vocational Education and Training program (RTO code: 30498). With a focus on 21st-Century skills, all boys are encouraged and taught to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, to create and innovate, and to be able to communicate and collaborate. These are the skills required of them to succeed in life. Our Boarding community is often described as the heart of the college and is the essence of the ‘village’ to help raise a child. Boarders’ health and wellbeing is of the utmost importance to college staff. The on-campus Health Centre provides 24/7 care to students, ensuring that at any time, day or night, they can receive the care they need. The college also has a boarding-specific clinical psychologist, who assists in proactive wellbeing initiatives and provides support for boys in need. Every member of the Boarding team is dedicated to building a strong rapport with the boys in their care, so they can support them during hard times, and celebrate with them during moments of success. The staff’s families are also embedded within the community – the village is often infused with pets, spouses and children, creating a feeling of a ‘home away from home’. As a member of the Queensland Greater Public Schools (GPS) Association, the college provides a healthy and social opportunity for large numbers of boys to take part in a wide range of sporting and cultural activities. These include cricket, debating, rowing, swimming, volleyball, cross country, football, tennis, basketball, chess, rugby and track and field. There are many other clubs and teams that students can be part of, including Theatresports, various music ensembles and bands, and Cattle Club. Ultimately, Nudgee College strives to develop young men of big hearts and good character.

How wonderful a school! I'm very happy I had the chance to enrol my son in this school. The school has several positive aspects, including the bus system and drivers. Every day, my son rides the bus, and I love seeing how much he enjoys it. On the other hand, for some reason he always brings 200 dollars and a box of Krispy Kreme donuts home. I'm happy the bus driver is helping out our family because this has been going on for months. I'm not sure if I should be concerned, though, about the slimy white substance that has covered my son's clothing. It must be some of the Glazing, and I would highly advise bringing your kids here.

This school has always stood out to me for its wonderful reputation of engagement in outside of class activities. My 9 year old son came home with an extra $200 and was given an afternoon snack of two donuts and extra white glazing. The school uniform does get easily dirty as my son had heaps of extra glaze all over his shirt.
