Beenleigh State School

I wouldn't recommend going to this school. People get bullied here and the principal does nothing about it. Principal is an ableist who makes incredibly inappropriate remarks about his special students.

My daughter went here from prep to grade 2. She is adhd and before she was medicated was off too a rough start. She was medicated half way through prep but was still put in the too hard pile. We were promised by the principal multiple times that she would be given help and put into clubs to help with the social aspect because she was struggling but they never followed through. She experienced and incredulous amount of bullying at this school. She was scratched, hit, had her hair pulled. At one point she was even pushed down a hill by students in an older grade. If you suspect the school did nothing about it, then you are right. She is in grade 6 now and has had minimal issues at the school she's been going too. Her main issue is she's talkative. She's experience very miniscule amounts of bullying since leaving this school and has been thriving.

I wanted to really give you guys a five star rating but I couldn't due to me being bullied here at this school for years 6 and 7 some years ago. We come here to learn and not to be pidgeon holed and put into the too hard pile!! I remember back in the day when you guys still had the special Ed unit before it was given its own place over in Mt.Warren Park. I had a very good friend who had probz and was always helped out in the special ed unit. unfortunately when he was with the mainstream kids in the playground the teachers didn't care much for him at times. I had to comfort him and encoourage him to go and report it to the special ed unit. The main stream teaching system was behind other schools in their cirriculum

Great school. Staff are onto it and very professional caring teachers. Nice environment and vibe. Inclusive, really onto it principal. Love it.

I go to this school good education the teaches are ok if you get bullied there are people you cane talk to and there are clubs that can give you a good future when you older
