Southern Cross Catholic College

Southern Cross Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 day-school offering a co-educational pathway to lifelong learning. The college was founded in 1995, following the amalgamation of seven Catholic schools on the Redcliffe Peninsula, and is committed to continuing and developing the tradition of Catholic education begun by its founders, the Brigidine Sisters, the Sisters of St Joseph, the De La Salle Brothers and Monsignor Bartholomew Frawley. In 2020, the multi-campus college is celebrating 25 years operating as the principal Catholic college on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Southern Cross has three primary campuses located in Scarborough, Kippa Ring and Woody Point accommodating students from Prep to Year 6, and a fourth campus, also in Scarborough, accommodating middle and senior years students from Years 7 to 12. With our big-college heart and small campus attitude, we aim to equip the next generation of leaders for their best future. We prepare each student to have a positive impact on his or her world and encourage excellence in all endeavours. The college itself is currently on a journey of innovation and improvement with current and future master plans changing the face of each and every campus. A new student welfare building at the secondary campus is planned for 2020, reinforcing the importance placed on pastoral care for all students. Administration, house leaders, counsellors and student services will be all found under one roof to support the needs of students and staff alike. As the only Lasallian college in Queensland, our unshakeable sense of purpose comes from our inwardly nurturing nature and our outwardly focused Lasallian values.
