Sirius College (Dallas)

Don't be fooled by the fake smiles on their empty faces. They knew there was no place available for our child yet they played us along and made our child attend two assessments only to be told they had no places at their Dallas campus. Teachers were speaking Turkish to the parents of their "preferred" students which is inappropriate given there were other people there attending the assessment that didn't speak Turkish. They make you jump through hoops when they know they won't offer you a place. If your not Turkish don't even bother applying to this school. The vast majority of places are given to their Turkish community. They sent us an email to say they placed our child on a waiting list which is misleading because the waiting list hardly ever materialises. In any event, we got to know how these people think, their values, who they select and their biased criteria. If this is how you conduct yourselves and run this school, I wouldn't want my child influenced by your mentality or biased judgment and thus please keep your waiting list to yourselves. It's your loss because you missed out on a very bright child. This was our first and last interaction with this school.

Nice new buildings and play area but poor staff calibre and they are ill informed about important dates. They use Seqta which is a good online platform but learning coordinators seldom put useful dates into the calendar. Reception were unaware of exam dates and did not know where to redirect parents to check. Website is lacking notifications and important exam dates or reference to ICAS or other important websites.
