Details

Lalor North Secondary College is a proudly innovative and forward-thinking school that provides agile and flexible learning opportunities responsive to student need. Deep attention to the individual needs and abilities of each student is a particular focus for our learning community. As a stimulating and inclusive school committed to small student-teacher ratios and academic rigour, we inspire positive student outcomes and a confident self-image for every young person. Our students flourish in learning, wellbeing, and in a sense of community. We are uncompromising in pursuit of these goals, which are integral to our activities and programs. Our teachers are highly experienced and dedicated to achieving continuous improvement for their students and for themselves. So, it is not surprising that last year, every Year 12 student achieved a highly positive pathway, whether academic or vocational. We congratulate our graduates, for they are our future. They will always be members of our proud community. Positive relationships are central to student success. Positive student engagement, careful guidance, and genuine relationships in learning are paramount. Secondary education is an adventure that should flow seamlessly from the primary years to provide excitement, growth and joy into adolescence and beyond. A wide range of activities including sport, language, music and art is offered and participation is actively encouraged. Our learning and enrichment programs include a range of elective choices catering to all student interests and needs. Our young people come to us as children, and we wave them off as young adults who continue to explore and create their future. We take this privilege very seriously indeed. Our families are our partners, and we join with them throughout their child's learning experience. We seek to provide the best of care, reassurance and close communication every step of the way. Please also ask about our Year 7 academic, musical futures and arts scholarships. We would be happy to arrange a personalised tour, where we will warmly welcome and show you our facilities and happy students.
